Print off your Ancestry tree
1 Log into ancestry.co.uk and click ‘ Trees’ in the menu bar to access a view of your tree. Then click the print icon at the very bottom of the tool bar on the left- hand side of the page. This will show you a name- only printout of the on- screen portion of your tree. 2 From the top menu, select ‘Create a Poster’ and in the box that appears choose ‘Continue to MyCanvas’. On the next page click ‘Get Started’ under the Family Tree Posters option, bottom right. Choose the ‘ Standard Pedigree’ layout ( don’t worry – you won’t have to pay anything!). 3 Work through the ‘Choose a Tree’ box filling in all of the details: the size ( how many generations to include), the name of the tree, and the starting individual and their spouse. Then give your project a name and click ‘Continue’. Your tree will be displayed on the next page. 4 Here you can change the background of your tree, zoom in on particular individuals and save it. Click the ‘Preview/ Print’ button in the top- right- hand corner of the page, followed by ‘Print’ on the next page. This will print the tree out to your own printer.
