Check all the marks and corrections you find on the 1939 Register

I learned a lot from Audrey Collins’ guide to the 1939 Register this month. As women’s surnames were updated when they married, it’s useful to know that the date often recorded next to a married name may actually be that of the wedding (although beware, sometimes it isn’t!).
