WHICH COURSE DID YOU DO?

in I did the IHGS Correspond­ence Course covering Genealogy. It included 24 modules a wide range of subjects. Each required completing three or four assignment­s.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THAT COURSE?

so I couldfit my studies time limit in which to complete it, I chose it because there was no set Higher Certificat­e in completing it, I sat the exam for the around other commitment­s. After qualificat­ion, which in Genealogy, a recognised profession­al Genealogy and the IHGS Diploma I passed with distinctio­n in 2017.

WHAT WAS THE EXPERIENCE LIKE?

The correspond­ence course covers fascinatin­g subjects and encourages you to conduct your own research while studying. There was plenty of support too. Each student has a tutor, and there is a forum where you can share ideas and raise queries. I’m now a profession­al genealogis­t, running my own business, an associate member of AGRA – and an IHGS tutor.
