www.cwgc.org Search here for war casualties – you can find date and place of death, next-of-kin details, and memorial informatio­n.

FamilySear­ch

familysear­ch.org This vast family history site has some Scottish specific content, including church and census records although these are transcript­ions and indexes. Also offers Scottish tutorials.

Findmypast

Virtual Mitchell
