Mormon volunteers have spent thousands of hours indexing and digitising records around the world and putting them online. We traced DJ Marvin Humes’ tree back to the 19th century using images of Jamaican civil registration certificates and Church of England registers on familysearch.org. Search by ancestor’s name from the homepage for an overview, and use the ‘Research by Location’ map to find out which collections have been indexed for the places your ancestors came from.
