North Yorkshire Archives Image Set

North Yorkshire County Record Office ( northyorks. gov.uk/article/23584/county-record-office) has provided a selection of favourites from the vaults in Northallerton. These include examples of tithe maps, Poor Law and quarter sessions material, photographs and First World War tribunals. There’s also a 1603 parish register entry from Hinderwell that lists burials of 49 villagers who died from the plague, plus an example from the archive of the shipbuilding company Cochrane and Sons of Selby.
