Findmypast has now agreed a deal with Surrey County Council that includes digitising and indexing nearly 1.5 million records, and it recently added

450,000 more burials. It also has an ongoing partnership with

Kent History and Library Centre and has now released an additional 500,000plus parish records. It has added 81,000 Hampshire records too, and added 63,000 records to its Berkshire Marriage Index.

FreeREG continues to have good coverage of the region. It has added over a million records to its collections in both Kent (now at 2,657,186) and Sussex (1,725,475). It has also added nearly 19,000 records to its Buckinghamshire collection, bringing the total to 196,310, and there are now 256,969 Hampshire records; 23,707 for the Isle of Wight; and 35,338 for Berkshire.

Studies has a collection of about 15,000 marriages by licence, which were obtained to avoid calling the banns, between the 17th and 19th centuries. You can search the indexes for free and order a copy of any records you require for £10 each.
