The diocesan record office looks after registers and parishches­t material for the whole of Lincolnshi­re, and its online catalogue is at www.calmview.eu/lincolnshi­rearchives/calmview.

The archive is also the home of the Tennyson Research Centre, devoted to Victorian poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson and his family.

The holdings here include local port, shipping and industrial archives from the 19th and 20th centuries, such as registers of ships and crew lists, in addition to logbooks and admission registers from roughly 100 schools in North and North East Lincolnshi­re dating from 1863 onwards.

The society was formed in 1990 and covers the ancient county of Lincolnshi­re except for the Isle of Axholme. Its Resource Centre on Monks Way in Lincoln is open on Mondays.
