24-hour free bus travel comes to an end
SLOUGH: Concessionary bus pass holders will no longer be able to travel free 24 hours a day after the council reverted back to the pre-lockdown rules.
During the COVID19 pandemic, pensioners and people with disabilities who qualify for the passes have been able to travel on the borough’s buses without restriction.
Since Monday, the relaxed restrictions came to an end, and pass holders will now only be able to get free bus travel between 9.30am and 11pm on weekdays.
Pass holders can still travel for free any time on weekends.
Anyone using a bus is required to wear a face covering for the duration of their journey, should maintain social distancing at bus stops and only sit in allocated seating while on buses.
Those with COVID-19 symptoms should self-isolate and avoid public transpor t.
