Amendments to planned expansion of Royal Farms Windsor Shop

-

In the public notices this week, Royal Farms Windsor Shop in Old Windsor is looking to make some changes to its planned expansion. There are also three road closures in Slough.

Planning

The Royal Household Property Section is looking to make amendments to an application to extend the Royal Farms Windsor Shop on Datchet Road, Old Windsor.

The site falls within the Grade I listed park and garden known as The Royal Estate, Windsor Castle and Home Park. It is mainly a farm shop with horticulture area, butchery and café.

The plans, approved in July 2020, were to extend the butchery area and relocate the horticulture area.

The butchery had ‘a compromised layout’, applicants said, and reconfiguration would allow them to meet increasing demand.

Now the applicant has proposed ‘a minor relocation’ of the extension to create a ground-level plant area.

It is also seeking a change in gross internal area of 9.7sqm, due to the increased length of the corridor between the existing building and extension, to provide the plant area between.

Meanwhile, 365 Services (UK) Limited is looking for retrospective planning permission to enlarge its café in its building at 88

Maidenhead Road, Windsor.

This is the site of Auto Care Centre Repairs Tyres Servicing, 5 Star Mobile Car Wash, and American Valeting Centre Ltd.

The application involves a part change of use from mixed-use general industrial and car valeting, to class E – commercial, business and service use.

Applicants are also looking to alter the fenestration, doors and paving; and to add awnings and exterior lighting.
