Witness appeals
Police were this week appealing for witnesses after a series of thefts.
Two mountain bikes were stolen from a house in Laurel Drive, Wishaw, last weekend. A green and white bike was stolen along with a red and grey bike between 7pm on Sunday, June 19 and 6am on June 23 .
Clothes, money, a mobile phone and personal items were lifted out of a parked Land Rover in Motherwell. Between midnight and 9am on Friday, June 24, access was gained to a gold Land Rover in a car park at Shield Court.
A strimmer was stolen between 12pm on Wednesday, June 22 and 9am on Thursday, June 23 from a private property in Motherwell. The thief had gained access to the secure rear garden at the Dalziel Estate house, forced open the cabin and stole a strimmer.
Two registration plates were nicked from a Vauxhall in a Wishaw car park. Between 2pm on Saturday, June 25, and 8am Monday, June 27, front and rear registration plates were removed from a black Vauxhall in Graham Street.
A portable generator has been stolen from a Motherwell property. Between 7am on Thursday, June 23 and 7am Friday, June 24, access was gained to a secure yard and a blue portable generator was stolen.
Property was also stolen from a Citroen in Motherwell between 10pm on Tuesday, June 21, and 9.30am on Wednesday, June 22.
The grey Citreon was outside a property on Challum Drive when someone gained entry to the vehicle and stole property from it.
