Dalziel St Andrew’s Parish Church All are welcome at Dalziel St Andrew’s Church on Sunday morning at 11am when the congregation continue their efforts to make worship inclusive. Large print praise and Bible reading sheets are available for uplift at the door with the service also including both signing and electronic note taking for all who are deaf or hard of hearing. Although the usual Sunday school activities will be off until August there will be plenty of fun, games, activities, snacks available for the young with the Summer Holiday Club starting in the upper halls at 11am. Each week there will also be a story time, featuring one of the miracles of Jesus. All children are welcome. Following the morning service there will be an opportunity to share in the American brunch, which will take place in the large hall. It costs £3 for adults and £1.50 for children. All proceeds from the event on this occasion will go towards the costs which will be incurred in creating a new memorial or sensory garden in the church grounds. From 11am until 2pm each day from July 11-13 there will be a summer holiday club with a sporty theme held in the church halls and grounds. Again lots of games, craft, activities plus a snack lunch will be included. Other congregations in the town are also holding holiday clubs. Calvary Church Trailblazers will begin from July 4-8, 10.30am to 12.30pm; the King’s Church Showstoppers begins on August 8-12, from 10am until 12 noon and Ebenezer Church’s Going for Gold begins on August 8-12, 6pm to 8pm. The Sisterhood will hold their monthly afternoon summer meeting on Wednesday, July 6 at 2pm.
