Continued South Wishaw Parish Church Wednesday daytime activities have now been suspended for the summer months. Worship on Sunday at 11am will be conducted by Mr Dickson Keir, with the children also taking part in the service. Supporters of the Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen’s Family Associatio­n (SAFFA) are holding a charity event in the church hall on Sunday afternoon between 2pm and 4.30pm and all are welcome to attend. Wishaw Ex-servicemen’s Club the Tartan lounge will be closed tonight (Wednesday, June 29). Friday and Sunday night sees cash bingo in the Tartan lounge. There is a private function in the main hall on Saturday night, but members can use the Tartan lounge. Monday night sees line dancing in the hall. The main hall and upstairs lounge is available to book for most functions, including weddings, christenin­gs, birthdays, anniversar­ies, funerals, charity nights and most other occasions. Wishaw United Reformed Church service on Sunday, July 3, at 11.15am in Coltness Community Centre will be conducted by Rev David Laing OBE. Everyone is welcome. AGM Glencassel­s Community Developmen­t Project are holding their annual general meeting in their centre at the Venny, 121 Glencairn Avenue, Wishaw on Friday, July 1, at 7pm. Anyone interested in attending this meeting is welcome to come along.

Tuesdays - Made4u Play Time toddler group 9.30am to 11.30am, Creative Crew 10am to 12 noon, walking group 10.30am to 12 noon, community café 12 noon, Zumba (five to 10 years) 3.30pm to 4.30pm, War Hammer gaming group 7pm to 9pm, senior bingo 6pm to 9pm. Wednesdays - card group 11.30am, Jelly Bean after school club P1-4 3.30pm to 4.30pm, football (S1+) Cambusneth­an pitches 6pm. Thursdays - Made4u Play Time toddler group 9.30am to 11.30am, lunch club 12 noon, Your Thursday club 2pm to 4pm. The centre is open on Fridays from 9am to 1pm. Kids summer club will be on rainforest theme for P1-6 on July 7-8, from 10am to 2pm and on July 11-15, from 10am to 2pm. Bring a packed lunch. All groups will stop for the summer the week beginning, July 11. Summer bus trips will leave the centre on Tuesday, July 5, from 9.30am to 4pm; Tuesday, August 9, from 9.30am to 4pm.
