The return of celebrated Scottish comedy Still Game to our TV screens has been a huge ratings winner for the BBC.

The return of Jack, Victor, Winston and the rest of the Craiglang gang on the box after a nine year absence was long overdue following the live shows in 2014.

This reporter took to the streets of Wishaw to find out what our readers thought of the new series so far.

Wishaw’s own answer to Jack and Victor, Francis Hoey and William Martin, were delighted to see the show back on screen.

Francis said: “It’s absolutely brilliant so I’m delighted that it’s back.

“The patter in the show is superb and I really liked the first episode of the new series.

“Isa’s dog and Jack getting stuck in the bath were both excellent. “I could watch it all the time.” William added: “It’s great to have it back; the show is brilliant.”

Ellen Goodlad, from Craigneuk, was also pleased the see the show returning to our screens.

She said: “I will certainly be watching. I really enjoy the show.”
