Man arrested and drugs discovered after cops raid Wishaw home in crackdown on dealers
Police in Wishaw have arrested a man following a drugs raid in the town.
Officers searched a house in Dimsdale Crescent, Wishaw at around 8.05pm on Tuesday, October 11.
They recovered a quantity of drugs believed to be cannabis with an estimated street value of £9,000.
A 46-year-old man from the Wishaw area has been arrested and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Inspector William Jeffrey said: “These recoveries demonstrate our determination to crack down on drugs in our communities, and we are always grateful for any assistance the public can give us in relation to this.

The Wishaw raid was one of three raids across Lanarkshire as police targeted drug dealers across the county.
Cannabis plants worth an estimated street value of £6,000 and cash were seized from a house in Motherwell’s Arran Road on October 11 at around 3.35pm.
A 50-year-old man from the Motherwell area was arrested and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A house in Uddingston was also searched on the same date and police say they recovered a quantity of drugs believed to be heroin and diamorphine.
