Craigneuk News Takeaway’s on award shortlist

And they need your vote to win top accolade

- Michael Temlett

Mr Chef in Craigneuk has been shortlisted for the Best British Takeaway.

After initial voting by members of the public last month, Mr Chef made the top ten shortlist but is calling on your help once again.

And owner Wasim Arshad has promised a fantastic giveaway if the Craigneuk fast food joint win.

The voting has now reopened and will close on October 24 where you can vote for Mr Chef as Britain’s best takeaway.

Wasim said: “We were just pipped last year and this time we wish to go one step further and win the award of Britain and Scotland’s Best Takeaway.

“Hundreds of free pizzas are to be given away as a thank you if Mr Chef wins the prestigious award. By voting you could also automatically win £1000.”

“The list of 10 will be reduced down to a top five who will then attend the awards in London, as Mr Chef did last year.

“Your vote really counts and we encourage everyone to do it for Scotland!”

The British Takeaway Awards 2016 will take place on December 5 at The Savoy Hotel in London.

And the most celebrated names in British takeaway food will come together to celebrate the success of Britain’s best independent takeaway businesses.

Graham Corfield, UK Managing Director of Just Eat, said: “The British Takeaway Awards are all about recognising and rewarding the diversity and excellence of the nation’s takeaway industry.

“Making it to the top ten best takeaways restaurants in Scotland is a great achievement as it means their customers think they are providing great food and excellent customer service.”
