gaffer hopes the last two results can be a sign of better times.

He said: “From the first whistle on Saturday we were excellent and the boys worked extremely hard.

“After winning a couple of weeks ago then not having a game the following week we didn’t know how we would react.

“But we started brilliantly and if it wasn’t for their keeper it could have been five or six.

“He was the difference between a bigger scoreline but we got the win and that was the most important thing.

“The last two wins have catapulted us up the league and we’re slowly climbing up to where we want to be.

“We’ve discussed it a few times this season when we’ve looked back on games where we haven’t had the rub of the green but hopefully that’s changing.

“We told the guys that we were down at the wrong end of the table and we had to pull ourselves out of trouble and we have done that so we need to keep going.”

Next up for Wishaw is a trip to Lesmahagow on Saturday.

The two sides sit with identical records after 10 games and the Wishaw boss believes this will be a big indication on where the Beltane Park side are.

The familiar foes have clashed in the league already this season with Wishaw winning 1- 0 as well as a victory for McGroarty’s men in the League Cup quarter finals.

But the Wishaw boss believes that all goes out the window this weekend.

He said: “Lesmahagow always give us a tough game and they’ll be out to make amends for the two results earlier in the year.

“This game will let us know where we are because we’d like to start building a gap and hopefully we can get another win and keep going on a run.

“Their results are very similar to ours but we want to create some momentum now and move up the table.”
