Marble Club Entertainm­ent in Springhill Marble Club begins with bingo in the lounge on Sunday afternoons at 1.30pm, with bingo on Mondays and Thursdays in the main hall at 9pm. Tickets for the Roy Dodd’s psychic road show, with guest star Jackie Clarke on Saturday, January 28, are now on sale, priced £10, available from the bar. Calderhead Erskine Church Worship takes place in the church every Sunday morning at 11am. A Sunday club is available for younger children and teenagers at 11.20am. Adult learning Short employabil­ity courses on CV preparatio­n, preparing for job interviews and job searches are held in Shotts Community Centre, Kirk Road, on Tuesday mornings at 9.30am to 11.30am. English support classes, adult literacy and numeracy support classes and an introducti­on to computer courses will be held in Newmains, Pather, Shotts and Harthill. Bon Accord Club The club are taking new bookings, so get in touch if you’d like to hold an event there. The function hall is available to hire for events. The Hogmanay ball has now sold out, however, there was a misprint on the tickets and the price should have stated £15, and not £13, as printed on the tickets. 32 Social Club Entertainm­ent for members and friends is as follows: tickets are now on sale for the Hogmanay night with dancing to Stephanie Robertson. Contact Janice Shaw to obtain for tickets for this event. Lodge St John 471 The regular meetings of the lodge are now off until January. The RWM would like to thank all the brethren for attending the meetings during this season. Community Council meets on the first Monday of the month in the Community Centre in Kirk Road at 7.30pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend these meetings. See the group on Facebook at Shotts Community Council or ask to be added to their email list to be kept up-to-date. Their next meeting will take place in February. Fundraisin­g group This is a group comprised of members of various groups throughout Shotts who are interested in sharing informatio­n and best practices on finding out about and applying for grants and funding. The meetings are held in the Station Hotel on the second Thursday of the month at 7.30pm. All are welcome to attend these meetings. Their next meeting will be held in January. Slimming group Classes take place every Wednesday at 9.30am, 5pm and 7pm in Epic Studios, Shottskirk Road (above Ladbrokes at Dykehead Cross). Everyone going along will be made welcome. Anti-fracking group meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm in the Station Hotel. Everyone is welcome to these meetings. SNP group meet on the second Monday of every month at 7.30pm in the Station Hotel. New members are welcome. Wishaw, Murdostoun and Fortissat Community Forum The forum meets monthly on the last Thursday of each month at 7pm. The group welcomes representa­tives from each of the areas, which includes Shotts. If you represent a community group, please come along. The next meeting will be held in the Houldswort­h Centre, Wishaw on Thursday, January 26.
