Youth Alpha Party

Students from across all year groups from St Aidan’s High attended a Youth Alpha party hosted by the Mission Team and the RE Department. The aim of this event is to encourage the students and teachers to reevaluate and discuss their beliefs and religion by watching a series of videos and then discussing afterwards.

Many students from different year groups attended the party that was organised by the S6 Caritas students and Mrs Barton, the head of the RE Department. This resulted in a success for all as both the teachers and students felt that they had an opportunity to further develop an understanding of their religion.

Mrs Hynes, an RE teacher and one of the many teachers involved in the organisation commented that : “Anyone is invited as it is a great educational experience but a way to come together as a school community and discuss our different views.”

This will be one of many meetings organised by the Mission week, the department expect the others to be as successful as the one previous. The Department invite anyone to future events and hope to see more and more each time. Gymnasts’ Hard Work
