Beltane Bowling Club Entertainm­ent begins with a sing song and bingo every Sunday night at 8.30pm. There will be a prize bingo evening on March 30, at 7.30pm. The next monthly dance will be held in the club on Saturday, April 1. All welcome. Dalziel St Andrew’s Parish Church In addition to morning worship in the church this Sunday at 11am, there will be a short service, open to all, in the lounge at Glenview Court, starting at 3pm. The 11am service is available live on the church website (dalzielsta­ndrews.org.uk) or can be viewed later on You Tube. The Congregati­onal Board meet on Thursday, March 16, at 7.30pm with the men’s club continuing to meet for a few more weeks on Monday evenings. This coming week the men’s club speaker will be Matt Muircroft, who will give a talk on dementia. The Guild welcome all to the local Resources Day on Saturday, March 18. Their closing social which will take place on March 28, with entertainm­ent provided by Our Lady’s Musical Society. The two weekly prayer groups continue to meet in the church prayer room on Monday evenings at 7.30pm and Wednesday afternoons at 1pm. Open to all. Members of the congregati­on who are able to do so are invited to bring along a chocolate Easter egg to the morning service on Sunday, March 26, in aid of the annual Easter egg gift time to support the work of the Glasgow City Mission. Motherwell Photograph­ic Society The model for the season’s final practical night was guest Ryan Gosling and not his Hollywood namesake. He worked hard, building up a good relationsh­ip with the members which resulted in some excellent images being taken. It was a good relaxed evening and was enjoyed by everyone. At this week’s meeting on Thursday, the speaker will be James Kelly, who is based in Aberdeensh­ire and has a keen interest in landscapes. Part of his presentati­on will be on the Faroe Islands, an area with which he has a special affinity. Members are also reminded that the club are hosting Strathaven Camera Club in the annual ‘match an image’ competitio­n on April 9. Images for inclusion on the night can be handed in over the next few weeks. The Society meets in Holytown Community Centre, Stevenston Street, Holytown every Thursday evening at 7.30pm. Community meeting The next meeting of the Muirhouse and Flemington community group will take place in Glassford Tower Common Room on Tuesday, March 21, at 7pm. All will be made welcome. Houldswort­h Bowling Club Entertainm­ent for members and friends begins with dancing to Donnie Findlay plus bingo and treasure chest on Saturday, March 25. Motherwell and Wishaw Amateur Operatic Society will celebrate their 50th anniversar­y this year. For this special year the society have chosen Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Aspects of Love”. This will be the Lanarkshir­e first outing for the show. Jimmy Stubbs is the musical director and producer and has put in a tremendous amount of work to present the show, which will take place in the Motherwell Theatre from Tuesday, March 21 until Saturday, March 25, at 7.30pm each evening with a matinee
