Here’s Tae Us is a documentar­y showcase, a story of Shotts, past and present. It is being held in the Henderson Theatre at the Community Centre, Kirk Road, next Wednesday, March 22, 6.30pm for a 7.15pm start. Entry is free when buying a raffle or refreshmen­t ticket for £2. Tickets, £3 each, and are available by contacting any committee member. 3rd Shotts Scout group The new hall at 100 Benhar Road, Shotts, is now available for any organisati­on in the community to use and requests to do so should be made to Mrs Mary Lees (Group Scout leader) on 01501 821658. Shotts and District Rotary Club There will be no regular Rotary meeting in the Station Hotel on Wednesday, April 5. Instead, there will be a visit to Glenkinchi­e Distillery near Edinburgh followed by a meal in the Melville Inn in Lasswade, Midlothian. Transport leaves from the Station Hotel at 12.45pm. Contact David McCloy for details on 0796120487­1. EU Congregati­onal Church A midweek open church will be held today (Wednesday, March 15) from 11am to 1pm when the minister will be present. A short service will take place in the church from 11.30am to 12 noon. Come along and bring a friend. There is a pancake morning on Saturday, from 10am to 12 noon. Tickets are available or you can pay at the door on the day. The service on Sunday morning is at 11.30am and singing group meets on Tuesday nights at 7pm. Salvation Army Corps The friendship club meets on Tuesdays, from 1pm to 3pm. The youth club meets tonight (Wednesday) from 6pm to 7pm and will be followed by band practice. The toddlers group meets on Thursday mornings, from 9.30am to 11.30am. The Friday Club on Friday at 5.45pm will be followed by the JAM Club at 6.45pm. The Sunday morning meeting at 10.45am will be led by Major Steven Turner this week. Everyone is welcome. Bon Accord Club The club are taking new bookings, so get in touch if you’d like to hold an event there. The function hall is available to hire for events.
