Man arrested over drug possession

A man from Wishaw was arrested and reported to the procurator fiscal for the alleged possession of Class A drugs.

The 41-year-old was stopped by police at 10am on Sunday morning in Windmillhill Street, Motherwell.

The man was detained on a separate matter and on arrival at Motherwell Police Office he was found to have bag containing white powder.

He was detained in custody pending an appearance at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
