Man, 37, attacked late outside shop

Police in Newmains are appealing for information after a man was assaulted late on Sunday night.

The 37-year-old man was attacked around 9pm on Sunday night outside a shop in Morningside Road.

The victim was assaulted by a man wearing a black tracksuit.

The victim did not require any medical attention.
