Focus on competitions time
Alba Photography Society had a busy month in February as they took part in two competitions.
First up was the club theme competition with the subject Reflections.
Excellent images were presented by members and the well deserved winning images were by David Brodie for the Beginners, Bernadette McDonald for Intermediates and Sandy Ewart for the Advanced section.
The second competition of the month was the GDPU Battle between Alba PS and Lanark CC with Alba winning the battle on home ground.
The club had Douglas Har r i s f rom Queens Park Photography Club, a well respected fine art photographer and member of the Elite Scottish Photographic Circle who gave a demonstration on Glamour Photography, taking Alba members on his personal journey with excellent, stunning images.
There was also two Members nights on Digital Photo Framing and using Flash Photography, the nights were well received by members, who enjoyed both the tutorials and the hands on experience.
If you are interested in photography and would like to come along to Alba Photographic Society, they meet on a Wednesday evening at Netherton Community Centre 7.15pm untill 10pm, the doors are open from 7pm.
Alba have Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced sections. New members are very welcome.
