Gala day The committee are holding an Easter party in the Marble Club on Sunday, April 9, from 1pm to 4pm with Loony Toons Disco. Tickets cost £3 each and are available by contacting any committee member. 3rd Shotts Scout group The new hall at 100 Benhar Road, Shotts, is now available for any organisation in the community to use and requests to do so should be made to Mrs Mary Lees (Group Scout leader) on 01501 821658. Shotts and District Rotary Club There will be no regular Rotary Club meeting in the Station Hotel next Wednesday, April 5. Instead, the club will visit Glenkinchie Distillery near Edinburgh which will be followed by a meal in the Melville Inn in Lasswade, Midlothian. Transport will leave from the Station Hotel at 12.45pm. Contact David McCloy for details on 07961204871. The club will hold their annual sportsmans dinner on Friday, May 19, in St Patrick’s Parish Hall. The guest speakers will be Scott Glyn and Tom Paterson. Monies raised will largely go to local charities and organisations. EU Congregational Church A midweek open church will be held in the church on Wednesday, from 11am until 1pm when the minister will be present. This will be followed by a short service from 11.30am to 12 noon. Come along and bring a friend. There will be an elders meeting on Wednesday evening at 7pm. The service on Sunday morning is at 11.30am and singing group meets on Tuesday night at 7pm. Salvation Army Corps The friendship club meets on Tuesday afternoons, from 1pm to 3pm. The toddlers group is on Thursday mornings, from 9.30am to 11am and the Sunday morning meeting at 10.45am will be led by Majors Alan and Carol Young this week. Everyone is welcome. Bon Accord Club The club are taking new bookings, so get in touch if you’d like to hold an event there. The function hall is available to hire for events. The County Grand Lodge of Central Scotland Sporstman’s dinner on Friday, March 31, is now sold out. Bowling Club This week’s entertainment is as follows; bingo will be held in the club on Thursday evening at 8pm. Saturday night’s entertainment will be In Touch from 8pm. Members are reminded that their fees must be paid by Friday, April 7, and any competition slips must be handed in
