Teenager denies carrying weapon
A Motherwell teenager has denied brandishing a knife in the town.
Nineteen-year-old Jamie Denholm pleaded not guilty to behaving in a threatening manner by shouting, swearing, acting in an aggressive manner, making threats of violence, producing a knife from the waistband of his trousers and brandishing it.
The offence allegedly took place at a house in Clapperhow Road on August 28 last year.
Denholm, of Montalto Avenue, Jerviston, is also accused of having a blade in Clapperhow Road on the same date.
The teenager will stand trial on May 2. His bail was continued.
