Easter School’s cracking

such as the ‘chick hunt’.
Small chicks were placed around the classrooms and corridors and students who found them were given some much needed chocolate!
Taylor are committed to raising attainment and achievement for all of our young people and Easter School is just one of many initiatives used to provide additional support to our young people.
The number of pupils attending this year’s Easter study programme shows how committed the students are to doing everything they can to achieve the best grade possible.
Thanks to Ms McCrone who co- ordinated this very beneficial programme and to all the members of staff who helped make the programme success. NIFTY KNITTERS The Nifty Knitters group made miniature pompom hats, with cream eggs, and they were so popular they sold out.
The Nifty Knitters did a great job. Well done. All proceeds will go to SCIAF. A big thank you to everyone who bought one. SIXTH YEAR LEAVERS’ MASS The annual leavers’ Mass for sixth- year students will take place on Thursday, April 27, at 2pm in the school theatre.
Mass will be celebrated for our sixthyear students and their families by Fr. Martin Delaney, school chaplain, after which their time at Taylor will be celebrated with the presentation of a number of traditional gifts along with the issue of hoodies, a video of their time at the school and certificates earned through their work as buddies and peer tutors.
After the programme of events has been completed, light refreshments will be served. All parents and carers of our sixth-year students are invited to attend this memorable event. SCHOOL PROM Final preparations are underway for fifth and sixth year cohorts as the look forward to the annual prom which takes place on Thursday, June 1 at the Radstone Hotel in Larkhall. DATES FOR YOUR DIARY Thursday, April 27 – sixth year leavers’ Mass, 2pm. Monday May 1 – May Day Holiday Thursday, May 4– Inset Day 5 (pupil holiday) and Feast of Ascension.
