Monster Trackhawk

Jeep is about to launch a monster in the shape of the new 707bhp Grand CherokeeTrackhawk due to arrive this autumn.

Capable of scorching from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds, Jeep says it is the fastest and most powerful SUV ever.

Powered by a supercharged 6.2-litreV8 engine, it can complete the quarter mile in 11.6 seconds and has a top speed of 180mph.

The Trackhawk comes with an upgradedTorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and driveline components engineered to handle the whopping torque output of 645lbs per foot.

There’salsotheJeepQuadra-Trac on- demand four-wheel- drive system, which includes an electronic limited- slip rear differential and a single-speed active transfer case - and more than 70 safety and security features. No price has been announced.
