Beavers (aged five to eight years) meet on Tuesdays from 7pm to 8.15pm. Contact Margaret Galloway (Keeo) on 01501 823715. Cubs (aged eight to 10) meet on Wednesdays from 7pm to 8pm. Shotts and District Rotary Club held their annual sportsmen’s dinner in St Patrick’s Parish Hall on Friday, May 19. The evening was a great success and all monies raised will largely go to local charities and organisati­ons. Thanks are extended to Claire Quigley and her assistants at the parish hall, John McFarlane (Caterers), the generous sponsors and contributo­rs, the guest entertaine­rs Scott Glynn and Tom Paterson and MC, Guy Miller and the generous audience on the night. Local business woman Linsey Fairley, from Only Natural Holistic Therapies, will be visiting the club on June 14, to give a talk about a range of therapies including Reiki and Shiatsu. EU Congregati­onal Church There is an open church held in the church on Wednesdays from 11am until 1pm, when the minister will be available. There will be a short service from 11.30am until 12pm, so feel free to come along and bring a friend. An elders meeting will be held tonight (Wednesday, May 24) at 7pm. The service on Sunday morning is held at 11.30am and the evening service is at 6.30pm, with singing group meeting on Tuesday nights at 7pm. Shotts Salvation Army Corps The friendship club meets on Tuesdays from 1pm to 3pm. The youth club meets on Wednesdays from 6pm to 7pm, followed by band practice at 7pm to 8pm. The toddlers group meets on Thursday mornings from 9.30am to 11am and the prayer meeting is on Thursday evenings at 7pm. The Friday Club and JAM Club are on holiday this week. The Sunday morning meeting at 10.45am will be led by Major Steven Turner. Everyone is welcome. Bon Accord Club The club are taking new bookings, so please get in touch if you’d like to hold an event there. The function hall is available to hire for events.
