Kiera Beagle

Staff, pupils and friends and family came together on May 25 to remember Kiera Beagle, who passed away last year.

The ceremony started with a bagpipe rendition of Amazing Grace.

Mr Robertson spoke movingly about Kiera and third year pupil, Carly, read a poem aloud.

Kiera’s gran then officially opened ‘Kiera’s Korner’, a space created in memory of Kiera featuring a cherry blossom tree, bench and planters.

The bench and planters were donated by HMP Shotts and pupils helped to varnish the bench before the event. Home Economics

Second year pupils were asked to prepare a talk on the nutrition project in Home Economics and the students who created the best presentation were awarded a prize.

Well done to Emma, Connor, Emma and Jamie in S2P1 and Jenny, Abbie and Jenna in S2P4 who won prizes for their excellent talks.
