USA TRIP

A number of fourth year students from Taylor High School recently returned from a residential visit to New York and Washington DC organised by the Social Subjects and Science departments.

Young people took the opportunity to attend a variety of excursions linking to various aspects of the subject.

When the group arrived they were welcomed by some flash floods in Times Square and were truly soaked to the bone, but that didn’t stop the fun for evening, afterwards the sun shined for five glorious days.

The activities included a trip to the Top of the Rock, a visit to Ellis and Liberty Islands, a guided walking tour of Downtown NYC which included a visit to Wall Street to see the‘Charging Bull’and the new addition,‘Fearless Girl’.

The school also had a tour of the United Nations building, a ticket to the Broadway show‘Aladdin’, a visit to the Natural History Museum and the Hayden Planetarium, a guided bus tours of both cities, a visit to the National Zoo, and to top it all off the youngsters shopped until they dropped when they had their final evening at the mall!

An absolutely fantastic time was had by all and the young people were a credit to Taylor High and Scotland.

They now can put their feet up and catch up on some much-needed sleep! FOND FAREWELLS Taylor High bid farewell last week to many of their much-loved community.
