Houldsworth Bowling Club The function room will be closed on Saturday, July 8, but the lounge will be open as normal. Dances for July will include Different Klass on July 15, Dougie and Peter on July 22, and Stuart Carr on July 29 plus the usual bingo and treasure chest on all dates. South Wishaw Parish Church Midweek service on Wednesdays at 12pm takes place in the church throughout the year. This is followed by a lunch club at 12.30pm from September to June before the start of the Wednesday Welcome at 1.30pm to 3.30pm. These activities are open to all. Wednesday Welcome is a social activity which runs throughout the year. There is something to please everyone with big-screen movies, bingo, seated keep-fit, entertainers, crafts and card making and much more. Worship on Sunday at 11am will be preceded by a prayer breakfast starting at 9.15am. Summer Holiday Club ‘The Adventure Cruise’ runs from August 7 – 11 from 10.30am until 12.30pm daily and is for those in P1 - P7 of New School Session. Registration maybe done on our Web Site: www.southwishaw.org.uk. Wishaw Ex-servicemen’s Club Entertainment begins with cash bingo in the Tartan lounge on Friday and Sunday nights. This Saturday, the main hall is closed for a private function. Future events will see the fabulous voice of singer Kirk James, who will be performing in the main hall on July 22, entry costs £2 for members; and £3 for non members. An Eagles tribute band will perform on Saturday, August 26, and tickets cost £10 each. Dalziel St Andrew’s Parish Church All are welcome at all ages worship service on Sunday morning at 11am when the Sunday school and Fusion Bible class will conclude their term. The service is available via online live streaming service at dalzielstandrews.org.uk. These services also include BSL signing and electronic note taking to assist the deaf or hard of hearing. Although the normal groups will conclude, children are welcome each week throughout the summer months at the summer Sunday school and creche when, each week, a themed time of fun and games and snacks will be held. Each week the theme will be based on one of the I Am sayings of Jesus. This year’s children’s holiday club for primary age pupils will run from Monday, June 24, until Friday, July 28, starting each day at 11am and includes a snack meal. Planning is now underway for the annual conference and AGM of the Scottish Churches Disability Group, which will be held this year in Dalziel St Andrew’s Church on September 30.
