Every summer, music fans up and down the country visit their favourite festivals.

After Glasgow held the first ever TRNSMT festival following the demise of T in the Park, we asked residents to share with us their favourite ever gigs or personal highlights from major music events.

Regular concert-goer Calvin Neilson had a list as long as arm when we asked about his favourite gigs.

He said: “I’ve got loads of favourites but T in the Park was brilliant in 2012 and 2014.

“I was at TRNSMT last week as well for Saturday when Kasabian were headlining and they were brilliant.

“I also enjoyed David Guetta at the Arches and Carl Cox when I saw him in Ibiza.”

Andrew Morley was fortunate enough to be at Scotland’s newest music festival and he had a great time.

He said: “The atmosphere was brilliant at TRNSMT and I enjoyed it because it was better than T in the Park because last year they had too much dance music which attracted the wrong crowd.”

Shotts Leisure Centre worker Megan McCarroll picked the Sunday headliners as her favourite.

She said: “I think Biffy Clyro were the best at TRNSMT but Catfish and the Bottlemen were great as well.”

Adam Hughes added: “I would love to get a ticket for the Killers at the Hydro in November.”
