It’s terrible people get left waiting
Rail users were disappointed to hear about the amount of trains passing through their scheduled stations.
With five trains a week passing through their planned stops leaving passengers stranded, it is a concern for those who use the rail service.
Fiona Warnock, from Carluke, has experienced it in the past and admits it can be extremely frustrating.
She said:“It’s happened to me a couple of times when you get on the train and it says straight away that it will be missing out certain stops that you need to get off at.
“It’s annoying for the people who are wanting to get on the train but also annoying for the ones who have to get off at that stop.
“They say they are doing it to make up for being late but it can make everyone else late as they’ve got to double back on themselves.”
Victoria Devine, out with daughters Hayley and Neve and son Harley, have been fortunate on their journeys.
Victoria said:“I’ve never had a problem with it but it would be annoying if it happened.
“The easy way to sort it out would be to make sure the trains are running on time and don’t have to make up time because they’re late.”
Kirsty Kerr frequently uses the train and admits there is room for improvement.
She said:“Trains always seem to be running late but it’s terrible that people will just get left waiting.
“It’s never happened to me thankfully but I would be annoyed if it did.”
