Starship holiday club for kids is set for take-off

-

A holiday club for children will begin in Shotts next month.

Starship Discovery Holiday Club will be launching in August when primary school children can look forward to a variety of activities at Calderhead Erskine Parish Church for a whole week.

The successful formula of games, crafts, stories, songs, drama and puppets of previous holiday clubs will be repeated this year from Monday, August 7 to Friday, August 11, from 10am till noon each day.

Healthy snacks will also be provided for the kids, and it’s all free!

The holiday club is open to primary kids who are starting P1 right through to those moving up to P7.

Count down will begin on Saturday, August 5 with a pre-registration coffee morning for parents between 10am and noon in the church hall in Kirk Road.

This will give an opportunity to meet the Starship Discovery team and for children to meet each other.

Parents will be able to enjoy coffee and cake and complete a registration form that can save a lot of time when the club begins on the Monday.

The children will be occupied with games and, if they wish, colour in a picture for a colouring competition.

The holiday club events will finish with a family evening on Friday, August 11, starting at 7pm when each child can bring along all their family.

The Starship team have been working hard to complete arrangements for the club and will be happy to address any questions posted on their Facebook site, search for Jigsaw Kids’Club or telephone 01501 825695.

Starship Discovery Holiday Club is set to be out of this world with primary children able to enjoy the daily adventure at Calderhead Erskine.
