Not for me I’m a Celebrity fan

With X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing back on our screens, we took to the streets of Wishaw to ask readers what their TV guilty pleasures are.

Viewers will watch on as Simon Cowell, Sharon Osborne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger dish out their opinions on the contestants performances, from now until Christmas.

Wishaw shopper Adorna Cerretti said: “X Factor is number one for me. We watch it as a family. It gives me something to look forward to at the weekend.

I tend to act like I’m judging them too. I’m always shouting my thoughts at the TV – mostly when they’re rubbish.

“I also think it’s like a countdown to Christmas when these shows start back.”

Donna Moon said: “I don’t mind X Factor and Strictly but my favourite is Britain’s Got Talent. I like that it can be funny. It’s more entertaining.

“The one reality TV show that I never like to miss is I’m a Celebrity Get me Out of Here. That’s by far the best in my opinion.”

Harthill man David Graham said he’d much rather watch a comedy show on a Saturday night than any of the talent shows.

He added: “They’re not my cup of tea. I’m just not a fan of reality TV. I don’t see the appeal. The format seems very staged.”

Craigneuk girl Sophie Parsons told us her favourite part is the X Factor auditions. She said: “Some of the them are hilarious, especially when they think they’re good but are actually rubbish.”
