Pair let off after threatening couple
Two Wishaw men have walked free from court after admitting threatening a couple at a house in Coltness.
Michael James Paton Haughey, of Greenlaw Avenue, and Stuart Francis Hoey, of Allershaw Place, pleaded guilty to shouting and swearing at Kirsty Leadwith and Robert Stewart and uttering threats of violence towards them at Kirk Road on May 23 last year.
Haughey, 42, was also charged with grabbing Ms Leadwith on her body. His not guilty plea was accepted by the Procurator Fiscal.
Both men were admonished and dismissed at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week.
