Big brekkie fundraiser

-

Staff from New College Lanarkshire had full bellies and full hearts after enjoying an end-of-term staff charity breakfast – which raised £728.25 for Maggie’s Lanarkshire.

Members of staff from across the College’s six campuses, including Motherwell, celebrated the end of another successful academic year with a charity big breakfast, with all proceeds going to the worthy cause.

The fundraiser attracted hundreds of staff members who generously donated to the organisation in return for the breakfast.

They were also offered information on the services provided by Maggie’s Lanarkshire and on how their donations would help.

Heather Urquhart, Vice-Principal at New College Lanarkshire, said:“Maggie’s Lanarkshire is an organisation that is close to the hearts of many at New College Lanarkshire and the surrounding community.

“With more than 20,000 students and 1000 staff, many throughout the college will have received the benefit of Maggie’s Lanarkshire so we wanted to hold an event that could give something back to the charity.”

Maggie’s Lanarkshire offers free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families.
