Home Guard heroes of the town

A Shotts group looking to create a gallery of Historic Shotts need your help.

Shotts Then & Now is an inter-generational project looking at the area, what it was like in the past and comparing what it is like now through photography, art, radio and IT.

Now the group have a fantastic picture of the Home Guard outside the Regal Theatre. The group want to know if you recognise anyone or what year this photo was taken.

Becky Mitchell, from Getting Better Together Shotts, said:“We are looking for photos to create a gallery of Historic Shotts – it could be anything – families, houses, mining, industries, the pipe band, cars, or sport.

“If you are happy to share these memories, pop in to see Becky any Thursday between 9am-noon.”
