Football coaches across Lanarkshire will next month be given the chance to earn a coaching scholarship in the USA and Canada. Six-to-12-week contracts are available to those who are coaching boys and girls aged three to 18, with camps in every state in the USA and Canada.
The opportunity could lead to a full-time career in football.
Run by Challenger Sports, there is a first Scottish recruitment day in Glasgow on Sunday, October 15, from 11am-3pm. The firm, which has been offering playing and coaching scholarships for over 20 years, offers competitive salaries, with full uniform/kit and travel, flights and housing provided.

Rising star Adam Boyle has added another gold to his successful season and has set his sights on the Commonwealth Games.
The Motherwell javelin thrower picked up a gold in the Scottish under 20 championships as well as silver in the Scottish Seniors.
The 17- year- old trains at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility and Wishaw Sports Centre – as well as being a member of Victoria Park AC.
Earlier this year, Adam won the Scottish Schools javelin contest and took bronze medal position in the UK under 20s at Bedford.
Building on those early season successes, he had an excellent series of throws at the Scottish age group championships at Scotstoun Stadium where the former Our Lady’s High pupil clinched gold with a throw of 58.42m.
Adam – who is coached by dad Tommy and former Scottish international javelin thrower Karen Costello – then competed in the Scottish Senior Championships and pulled off an impressive throw of 59.54m to claim second.
Adam said: “My longer term aim is to compete in the Commonwealth Games for Scotland and it is vital to gain experience against seniors as often as possible.
