Denies blogging on ex

A man repeatedly kicked and slapped his ex-partner during a crazed attack in a Wishaw house in the presence of her child.

Nicky Main also brandished a machete during the terrifying incident in a Wishaw street on April 17.

Main stood trial at Hamilton Sheriff Court and after hearing all the evidence was found guilty of two charges against him.

On that date Main attacked the woman by repeatedly spitting on her face and pushing her on the body while she was holding her child, then aged five years old in her arms.

Lorraine Kennedy stood in the dock last week at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week and denied engaging in a course of conduct which caused her former boyfriend fear and alarm.

It is alleged that between January and July this year, 48- year- old Kennedy allegedly, along with others, followed, watched and filmed her ex and three other people.

She also allegedly published an internet blog with material relating to and purporting to originate from her ex-partner and another woman.

The offences are alleged to have taken place at Kennedy’s home in Harthill and at an address in Cumbernaul­d.

Kennedy was granted bail but with special conditions that she does not approach, contact or film her ex boyfriend. Another bail condition is that she does not publish any material on the internet relating to her former partner.

A further hearing in the case will take place on December 14 at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
