- Michael Temlett

A Lego replica of Motherwell’s famous Fir Park stadium can help raise money for disabled football fans.

Motherwell FC Disabled Supporters Association are raffling off the incredible memorabilia after Chris Smith from Brickstand made the model following an anonymous donation.

The fan who paid for the model to be made has now donated it to the DSA which helps disabled fans enjoy their football experience through improving facilities.

The Lego Fir Park is on display at the club shop and the draw will be made on Saturday, October 28 with fans getting the chance to buy raffle tickets before every home game.

Jillian Gillen, of MFC DSA, said: “Eventually, we would love other clubs to look at us and say, that’s what we want our disabled supporters association to be like.

“We want to lead the way. As an ‘able bodied’ supporter myself, I was shocked the first time I joined some fellow Well fans in the disabled section.

“I had no idea until then the difficulties that were faced when attending a football match with a disability.

“As the new fundraising manager for the DSA, it inspires me to want to raise as much money as possible to make things easier and more enjoyable for disabled fans.

“This is an amazing opportunity for a Well fan to win ann incredible piece of Motherwell memorabilia.”bl ”

Tickets are priced at £3 for one, or two for £5 and can be purchased at theh club lbh shop or byb emailingl jillian@ll mfcdsa.com.
