The main aim of this vibrant local charity is to engage and support people in Lanarkshire living with multiple and complex challenges – focusing on the potential they have, rather than their problems.
Anita said: “I am so overwhelmed with the result and it feels great that all the work is appreciated.
“It was a lovely surprise to learn that my staff and volunteer team had nominated me and when my name was called out as the winner I was thrilled to bits.”
Barbara Boertien, business development manager at LAMH Recycle Ltd said: “Anita is a fantastic role model who has changed the lives of hundreds of disadvantaged people by providing them with the skills, knowledge and belief in the benefits of recycling.
“She is a great believer in self determination and getting things right.
“Anita’s innovative ideas have had a direct, positive impact on our charity’s ability to prevent tonnes of valuable products and materials from ending up in landfill. Her approach has also helped to create local jobs.”
