Shotts Gala Day have their annual general meeting next Wednesday, October 18 at 6.30pm in the Scout Hall in Benhar Road. The Hallowe’en party will take place on October 21, from 6pm until 10.30pm in Springhill Marble Club. Tickets cost £4 and all children will receive a goody bag. Shotts and District Rotary Club have their meetings every Wednesday evening in the Station Hotel, Shotts. There will be a talk from Dress for Success Scotland tonight (Wednesday, October 11), a charity that helps women into work by finding them employment, appropriat­e clothing and running programmes including confidence building. The club are now through to round two of the Inter District Club Quiz. For further informatio­n about any rotary club matter, contact David McCloy, secretary, on 0796120487­1. EU Congregati­onal Church The church will be open for prayer and contemplat­ion today, from 11am until 1pm. A short service will be held today from 11.30am to 12 noon, followed by tea and a chat in the large hall. There will be a managers meeting held at the church tonight at 7pm. The service on Sunday morning is at 11.30am, and singing group meets on Tuesdays at 7pm. Salvation Army Corps The friendship club meets on Tuesdays from 1pm to 3pm. There will be no youth club this week. The toddlers group meets on Thursday mornings from 9.30am to 11.30am, and the prayer meeting is held on Thursday evenings at 7pm. Friday Club and JAM Club are on holiday this week.
