Adam - I owe it all to coach Craigan

-

Adam Livingstone has thanked Stephen Craigan for making him a better player.

Now he wants to repay the under-20s boss with a superb season.

The 19- year- old had to work his way back into Craigan’s plans after falling out of favour at the start of the season.

Branchalwood resident Livingstone revealed he was close to quitting football altogether but chose to fight for a place in the team after some hard work in training.

He said: “Craggs has made me a better player because at times I could be a bit immature in terms of my playing style.

“I spoke to him a few times and said ‘what could I work on?’

“One day I was handed a folder and it felt like it was about 10 pages long!

“But I knew I wanted to prove to myself I was capable of playing at that level and higher than that so I started to work on it.

“I’m an attacking full-back but that’s something the first team play with these days and I’m hoping it shows I’m capable of fitting in if called on.

“We’ve had some great times in the 20s and played Crusaders in the IRN-BRU Cup and lost 3- 2 – they’ve played Champions League football in the last 18 months.

“That experience is great for us as a team and we want a successful season this year.”
