Sport stars are leading the way
Braidhurst High School pupils showed off their sporty side with an interhouse afternoon last month.
Representatives from the four house groups – Atholl, Lorne, Morven and Rannoch – competed in activities such as football, potted sports, a music quiz and the “minute to win it” mini tournament.
The competition was a close call, however Lorne proved victorious with 40 points.
In second place was Rannoch with 38 points, in third place was Atholl with 30 points and in fourth place was Morven with 26 points.

Congratulations to S6 pupil, and Performance S chool of Foo t b a l l Graduate, Sara McWhirter on her qualification to the elite round of the UEFA European Women’s U17 Championship as part of the Scotland team.
Play, Cook, Eat – family learning
A group of S1 pupils spent two days during the October half- term holiday participating in the school’s “Play, Cook, Eat” initiative, led by Braidhurst’s partnership officer Linda McGurk.
T h e p u p i l s w e re invited to take part in sporting activities such as trampolining and fitness before cooking and then eating their lunch.
All pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Pa rent s ’ Group Fashion Sale
On Tuesday, November 7, the Braidhurst Parents’ Group is hosting a Fashion Sale in the school’s assembly hall.
The event starts at 7pm and will feature a fashion show and discounted sale of high street brands such as Oasis, River Island, Topshop, New Look and many more. There will also be refreshments available and a raffle.
All proceeds will be used to help pay for items such as school trips, school ties and the senior prom, amongst many others.
Tickets are priced at £ 5 and are available from the school.
