The statue is situated across from the Spar on the main Allanton Road. Thanks go to everyone who made this event possible. Thanks are also extended to all the members of Allanton Church who played their part to ensure the church was open in time for the exhibition of photographs and artefacts to celebrate the miners’ heritage, and for providing a nice cup of tea to the visitors.
