Wishaw Ex-servicemen’s Club Entertainm­ent begins with cash bingo in the Tartan lounge on Friday. Saturday sees entertainm­ent with the talented Lee Scott - all welcome. There is cash bingo in the Tartan lounge on Sundays. Saturday, December 16 sees a Billy Connolly tribute night of comedy followed by entertainm­ent with Garry Moir; tickets cost £8. Saturday, December 23 sees an entertainm­ent night with the talented Tam Bell. Tickets, priced £20, are available for the Hogmanay party which includes entertainm­ent and a buffet on the night. Two function halls are available for special occasions such as 18th and 21st birthday parties. Along with a hall dressing, balloon and cake packages. For more informatio­n, contact the club on Facebook. Houldswort­h Bowling Club The function room will be closed this Saturday, November 11 but the lounge will be open as normal. Tickets are still available for the Christmas show, Time of your Life, on Friday, December 15. These are priced £12, and includes a buffet on the night. Muirhouse and Flemington community group will hold their annual general meeting on Tuesday, November 21 at 7.15pm in Glassford Tower common room. Guest speaker on the night will be from the Lanarkshir­e Family History Society with refreshmen­ts also being served. This will be followed by an election of office bearers. All will be made welcome. South Wishaw Parish Church Wishaw Churches Together Alternativ­e Christmas shop runs daily until this Saturday, November 11 in Wishaw Old Parish Church. Everyone is welcome. All of the regular Wednesday activities continue this week with prayer group and life group today at 10am and 10.45am respective­ly. Mid-week service at noon will be followed by lunch and Wednesday Welcome starts at 1.30pm. Sharing Circle meets on Thursdays at 12.30pm with a light lunch served. Saturday Cafeteria is held between 10am and 1pm and will see Team E on duty this week. Sunday’s Remembranc­e service at 10.45am will be conducted by Rev Terry Moran. (Please note the change of time) and praise will be led by the Coalburn Silver Band. The town’s act of Remembranc­e will take place in Belhaven Park at 1pm. Session action groups meet on Tuesday, November 14 at 7.30pm. There will be a brief session meeting held prior to the group meetings. All attendees are asked to bring a copy of the issued strategy document to the group meetings. The Guild will next meet on Monday, November 12 at 7.30pm. The Christmas fayre takes place at the church on Saturday, November 18 between 11am and 2pm. A large number of stalls have been arranged as well as Santa’s grotto and home baking.
