Brave Taylor loses his battle for life
Tributes have since poured in for the young football fan. The chief operating officer of Motherwell Football Club, Alan Burrows, said: “Everyone at Motherwell FC is deeply saddened by the news of Taylor Drummond’s passing. We send our condolences to Taylor’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“Our supporters are planning a minute’s applause at our fixture at Hearts on Saturday in memory of Taylor and to show support for his family.”
Motherwell fans have arranged for a minute’s applause to take place on the 21st minute at their game against Hearts at Tynecastle on Saturday.
In a post on the MFC Podcast page they said: “We are hoping our supporters could show their respects to Taylor with a minute’s applause on the 21st minute at Tynecastle on Saturday.
“Let’s let Taylor’s friends and family know that the ’Well support are thinking of them at this devastating time.”
Motherwell Striker Louis Moult also posted on Twitter to share his condolences.
He wrote: “RIP Taylor Drummond, an inspiration to me, a true fighter always smiling. My regards go out to all his family and friends.”
