Robbo to add strikers

-

Stephen Robinson insisted he will be looking to add one or two new strikers in the January transfer window.

Robinson spoke to the assembled media in the wake of last Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat against Rangers at Ibrox.

Goals from Danny Wilson and Alfredo Morelos made it eight games without a win for Robinson’s men and the ‘Well gaffer bemoaned the loss of Preston-bound Louis Moult who has missed a number of games through injury.

He said:“Louis Moult is a big miss right now.

“We have needed other players to step up and they haven’t done that.

“You live and die by what you do at the top end.

“I’m now looking for two players in January and we have targets that we are speaking to.

“The run of results is not good enough.”

Motherwell were comfortable in a first half devoid of little or no quality.

However, the best chance fell to‘Well as Craig Tanner darted beyond the Rangers defence and sent his shot wide by a whisker.

Rangers took the lead when Niko Kranjcar whipped a free-kick in and Wilson collected it at the backpost before smashing a screamer into the top corner.

The game was over as a contest when Morelos found himself through on goal and buried it past Carson.
